The Snapshot feature lets you capture a picture of motion data as it appears in the Motion Graph and use your device’s built-in tools to save or share it. Whether the graph is displayed on the Dashboard tab or in Expanded Graph View, tapping and holding on the Motion Graph provides the option to share motion activity with others or keep a visual record for reference. The snapshot reflects the date currently selected in the Motion Graph with the current date used by default. Customers can use the date selector arrows to navigate to a different date and capture a snapshot of motion data from that selected day.
A Snapshot includes the motion activity shown on the graph for the selected date and reflects the format of the view from which it was captured. Snapshots taken from the Dashboard tab retain the standard dashboard layout, while Snapshots captured from Expanded Graph View reflect the wider, horizontal layout of the expanded graph.
To Capture a Snapshot from the Motion Graph on the Dashboard tab:
When you tap and hold, the app captures a screenshot of the graph and opens your device’s standard actions menu. The image to the right shows the Dashboard Tab with the Motion Graph highlighted.

Sharing and Using the Snapshot
Once a Snapshot is captured, your device’s actions menu opens with options that depend on your device settings and installed apps allowing you to send the Snapshot to other apps on your device.
Sending a Snapshot through messaging or social media apps can be a quick way to share motion activity with other caregivers in your Circle of Care. Snapshots can also be saved as images or shared through an email app.
Using Snapshots in Expanded Graph View
The Snapshot feature is also available in Expanded Graph View. To open Expanded Graph View, go to the Dashboard tab and tap the Expand Graph View icon on the Motion Graph. This icon appears as a square outline in the top-right corner of the Motion Graph, just under the time zone selector.
Expanded Graph View opens the Motion Graph in a horizontal, full-screen layout. From this view, you can tap and hold on the Motion Graph to capture a Snapshot, just as you would on the Dashboard tab.
Dashboard vs Expanded Graph Snapshots
There are visual differences depending on where the Snapshot is taken:
- Dashboard tab Snapshot appear square in format
- Expanded Graph View Snapshot appear wider and horizontal, matching the expanded layout
In both cases, the Snapshot reflects exactly what’s displayed on the screen at the time it’s captured.
