Tooltip in the Threshold app are small, built-in helpers designed to give users quick explanations without leaving the screen they’re on. These guides can appear in a few different formats and are commonly used across the app to improve clarity and confidence while navigating.
Motion Activity Graph Tooltip
On the Motion Activity screen, tapping anywhere on the motion graph will display a Tooltip. This appears as a rectangle with a red border that gives detailed information about the motion status at the specific time you tapped. A vertical line also appears on the graph to mark the exact point selected.
If you press and hold your finger, then drag across the graph, the Tooltip will update as you move—letting you scan motion data throughout the day.

App Settings – Reminders Tooltip
In the App Settings page, small circular icons with a question mark indicate there’s a Tooltip available. Tapping one of these opens a sliding panel from the bottom of the screen with a more detailed explanation of that feature.
Here’s an example of the Reminders Tooltip, explaining what “Setup Reminders” means and when you might see them:

Using and closing Tooltips
Tooltip can be closed by tapping the X icon in the upper-right corner of the Tooltip window. They’re designed to be non-intrusive and easy to dismiss once you’ve reviewed the information.
These Tooltip are built to offer help in the moment—right where and when it’s needed. Whether you're viewing motion trends, adjusting settings, or managing members in a Circle of Care, Tooltips help make everything easier to understand without needing to leave the page.
