Motion is detected by monitoring the disturbance of the Wi-Fi signal that reaches the Motion Wi-Fi Sensing Plugs. As a person moves through the field created by these devices in a Motion Zone, any disturbances are measured. When the disturbance exceeds a predefined minimum threshold, the Zone reports that motion has started. The system continues to monitor until the disturbance remains below that threshold for 30 seconds, at which point it reports that motion has stopped.
