With the release of Threshold app version 1.3.13, there are updated minimum operating system (OS) requirements for both Android and iOS. You can check your current OS version in your device's settings.
- Android: Minimum version Android 15
- iOS: Minimum version is iOS 15.1
We understand this may be disappointing for those who rely on older devices. Many people hold onto a phone or tablet because of financial reasons, it still meets their needs, or simply out of preference. We respect that and want to provide insight into why this change is occurring. We need to comply with standards set by the app stores that manage Threshold app availability.
Looking ahead, there could also be times when we need to update minimum requirements ourselves. This might happen in situations like older devices no longer being able to support new features or if security issues arise that affect outdated software. When those moments come, we will explain the reasons so you know what is behind the change.
We appreciate your attention. If you are affected by this update, we are sorry for the inconvenience.
